【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoevaluatetheperformanceofdifferenttonersinacommonmachine.Itcanalsobeusedtoevaluatetheeconomicsoftonerusagewhenmakingmachine-to-machinecost-per-copycomparisons.Thistestmethodprovidesonlyapointofestimatethatissubjecttoasignificantnumberofvariablesthatarenoteasilymeasured.Toner-basedimagingsystemsarenot100%efficient.Sometonerislosttothesurroundings(insideoroutsideofthecopier).Thislossmaybesignificantenoughtoaffectthetotalnumberofcopiesproducedbyaspecificamountoftoner.Anyonemakingadecisionbasedontheresultsofthistestmethodshouldcarefullyconsidertheaccuracyoftheresultsandotherpertinentdata.Actualuseofthecopierinnormaloperatingconditionswillmostlikelyresultintonerusagevaluesdifferentfromthosegeneratedinthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedureforestimatingthenumberofcopiesthatcanbeproducedforagivenunitoftonerinafull-colorcopierusingdrymono-ordual-componentdevelopment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazards,seeSection9.
