【摘要】:Residentialductsystemsareoftenfielddesignedandassembled.Therearemanyjoints,oftenofdissimilarmaterialsthatrequirebothmechanicalconnectionandairsealing.Withoutthissealing,ductsystemswouldbeextremelyleakyandhenceinefficient.Whilesomeductsealantsareratedontheirpropertiesatthetimeofmanufactureorduringstorage,noneoftheseratingsadequatelyaddressesthein-servicelifetime.Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedtoaddressthisdurabilityissue.Thisstandardappliestoproductswhichlistductsealingasoneoftheiruses.Thisincludesducttape(cloth,metalfoil,orplasticbacked),mastics,andsprayed/aerosolsealants.Itdoesnotapplytocaulksorplasterpatchesthatarenotintendedtobepermanentductsealingmethods.Thestandardductleaksiteisacollartoplenumconnectionforroundductthatis10to20cm(4to8in.)indiameter.Thisperpendicularconnectionwaschosenbecausealmostallresidentialductsystemshavethistypeofconnectionandinfieldobservationsofductsystems,itisoftenthistypeofconnectionthathassealantfailure.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesanacceleratedagingtestforevaluatingthedurabilityofductsealantsbyexposuretotemperaturesandstaticpressurescharacteristicofresidentialductsystems.1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtoproducearelativemeasureofthedurabilityofductsealants.Thisstandarddoesnotmeasuredurabilityunderspecificconditionsofweatherandbuildingoperationthatmightbeexperiencedbyanindividualbuildingandductsystem.Insteaditevaluatesthesealantmethodunderfixedconditionsthatdonotincludethemanifoldeffectsofinstallationpractice.1.3Thistestmethodonlyaddressessealantsnotmechanicalstrengthoftheconnections.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecifichazardstatementsseeSection7.

【摘要】:Thisstandardspecifiesrequirementsforwhirlpoolbaths,havingaratedvoltageofnotmorethan250Vforsinglephaseappliancesand480Vforotherappliances,whichareintendedtobeinstalledinindoordomesticsituationsandusedinaccordancewiththemanufacturer'sinstructionsforpersonalhygiene.SuchwhirlpoolbathsaretestedandsupplpliedasacompleteindependentunitdesignedtobedraineddownaftereveryuseTheymaybetransportedinseveralseparateparts,forassemblyonsite,tofacilitatedelivery.SafetyaspectsofWhirlpoolbaths(exceptusebyyoungchildrenandslowmoving/weakelderlyordisabledindividuals)arecoveredbyEN60335-2-60.Exclusions:thisstandarddoesnotcoveradditionalrequirementsforwhirlpoolbathsintendedforuseswherespecificmedicalprovisionsarerequired,orwhirlpoolbathsforcommunaluseswheretheyarenotdraineddownaftereveryuse.Portablewhirlpooldevicesarenotcoveredbythisstandard.Forthepurposesofthisstandardtheterm'domesticsituations'includesuseinhotels,accommodationforstudents,hospitalsandsimilarbuildings.Warning:Slowmovingelderlyordisabledpersonsshouldtakecarewhenusingwhirlpoolbaths.Youngchildrenshouldnotbeallowedtousewhirlpoolbathswithoutsupervision.NOTE1Itisunrealistictoexpectmanufacturerstoprovideadefinitionofwhatconstitutesa'slowmovingelderlyordisabledperson',or'youngchildren'.Theformeristheresponsibilityoftheindividualoracareer.Thelatter,isaparentalresponsibility.NOTE2WhenEN60335-2-60isamendedtocoveruseofwhirlpoolbathsbyslowmovingelderlyordisabledpersonsandyoungchildrenthewarninggivenabovewillbedeletedfromthisstandard.
