【摘要】:Thisstandardestablishesguidanceforthedesignanduseofinstallationsthatusex-rayandsealedgamma-raysourcesupto10MeVfornon-medicalpurposes.Itsmainobjectivesaretokeeptheexposureofpersonstoradiationtolevelsaslowasreasonablyachievable(ALARA),andtoensurethatnoonereceivesgreaterthanthemaximumpermissibledoseequivalent.Theseobjectivesmaybeachievedbytheuseoffirmmanagementcontrols,safeoperatingprocedures,appropriateequipment,acomprehensivemaintenanceandsurveillanceprogram,adequateshielding,distance,orbylimitingpersonnelexposuretime.Annexescontaintechnicalimformationusefulfordesignofradiationshielding.Thoserecommedationscontainingtheword"shall"identifyrequirementsthatarenecessarytomeetthestandardsofprotectionofthisdocument.Thoseusingtheword"should"indicateadvisoryrecommendationsthataretobeappliedwhenpractical.Inthisstandard,SIunitsareshownfornon-radiationquantitiesandtheconventionalspecialunitsareusedforradiationquantities.ToconvertconventionalunitstoSIunits,thefollowingfactorsmaybeused:1rad=0.01gray(Gy)1rem=0.01sievert(Sv)1roentgen(R)=2.58×10coulombperkilogram1curie(Ci)=3.7×10becquerel(Bq)

【摘要】:Thisguideprovidesstandardterminologyforuseinidentifyinganddescribingthedifferentchemicalformsofcyanide.Thecomplexnatureofcyanidechemistry,existenceofnumerousdistinctchemicalformsaswellasthevariousregulatorydistinctionsthatmaybemadecanleadtoconfusionintechnicaldiscussionsoncyanideandintheselectionofappropriatemethodsforitsanalysis.Thisguideisintendedtoprovideclarificationandacommonframeworkoftermsanddefinitionsfromwhichtodiscussandreferencedifferentcyanidechemicalspeciesandgroupsofcyanidecompounds.Theuseofsuchcommonterminologyisparticularlyimportantfromanenvironmentalperspectivebecausecertainformsofcyanideareconsideredtobetoxic.Therefore,theirreleaseintotheenvironmentisregulatedbyfederalandstateagencies.Thusageneralunderstandingofcyanidechemistryandspeciesdefinitionsisneededforproperwastewatermanagementandtesting.1.1Thisguidedefinesstandardterminologyusedfortheclassificationofthevariouschemicalformsofcyanide.Itisintendedtoprovideageneralunderstandingofthechemicalnatureofdistinctcyanidespeciesasrelatedtochemicalanalysisandenvironmentalfateandtransport.
